Over the course of his career, Reid has supported over 20 major brand launches and promotional campaigns, and directed the spending of hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing investment at GSK. With his supervision during key lifecycle milestones, peak sales of brands he has managed have reached over $10B annually. In addition, he has in-house experience in both retail and hospital pharmacy which has given him an in-depth understanding of market access and pharmacy data management systems.
Reid earned a BS degree in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA degree from Wake Forest University.
Mike has over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, market access, channel design, sales training and sales management, and has been involved in over 22 product launches in sales, marketing or consulting roles. He has held leadership positions with global companies such as Johnson & Johnson, UCB and United BioSource Corporation.
With expertise in design and execution of access strategies, Mike has launched more than 40 patient and provider support programs encompassing diverse issues such as reimbursement, channel design, patient assistance programs, copay programs, call centers, sites of care and clinical trial support. His core areas of experience include products with complex characteristics such high cost oral, IV, SC and IM therapies.
Mike earned a BA degree in Marketing from Northeast Louisiana University.
Carlos brings 40 years of experience in prescription, over-the-counter and consumer packaged goods. He has been involved in more than 15 multi-country product launches in the United States, European Union, Latin America and Asia, including China. In addition to international product launches, Carlos has extensive global expertise in mergers and acquisitions and footprint building.
Carlos has held global sales, marketing, general management, and other leadership positions at Baxter (Hyland/Fenwal Diagnostics), Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Schering Plough and American Home Products.
Carlos earned a BS degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA degree from the University of Miami.
David has over 30 years of general management, marketing, sales, and field access and reimbursement leadership experience with emerging and global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
David’s career is distinguished by his success in planning and implementing commercial organization infrastructure and leading high performance teams for high profile companies. His leadership has propelled the launch of multiple biologic blockbuster brands and indications in ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, rheumatology, and Crohn’s disease therapy areas. David has also led and supported the launch of 15 major small molecule brands across oncology, gastroenterology, HIV and other infectious disease therapy areas.
David has held commercial leadership positions at Regeneron, UCB, MedImmune and GlaxoSmithKline.

Lee Ann Steadman
Lee Ann joined Protean in 2015 as Senior Consultant. She brings with her more than 15 years of pharmaceutical and medical device experience working with companies such as Sanofi, Lash Group and UBC, Inc. Lee Ann uses her expertise to support the full lifecycle of a product.
With knowledge in patient and provider services and channel strategy, Lee Ann has launched more than 30 patient and provider support programs including reimbursement, distribution, financial assistance programs, call centers, sites of care and clinical trial support services across numerous therapeutic classes. Her experience includes support of oncology, rheumatology, neurology, cardiology and rare diseases.
Lee Ann earned a BS degree in Psychology and minor in Business from Kansas State University.
Ron has over 30 years of experience in the areas of US and OUS pharmaceutical, biotech, biosimilars, generic, and medical device sales, commercial operations, global supply chain planning and execution, distribution, and logistics policy and program development.
Ron has held the position of Vice President, Business Operations at Johnson & Johnson where he was responsible for the development and implementation of corporate channel strategy, including distribution services and trade partnership management for an $18 billion sales portfolio.
Ron has also served in general management, sales management and product management roles for Fortune 500 and start-up companies such as Rhone Poulenc, Rhone Poulenc Rorer, Arcola Labs, and Centocor.
Ron earned a BSC degree from the University of Windsor.
David has over 28 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostic industry commercial experience including sales, sales management, market research and marketing management at large and small companies. His therapeutic area expertise includes antivirals, cardiology, urology, pulmonology, neurology and oncology.
David has supported 18 product launches across a variety of therapeutic categories. He has led primary and secondary market research initiatives, strategic and budget planning, and the creation of multiple branded and unbranded campaigns. He has also led projects focused on market access and utilization management with payers and PBMs.
David earned a BA degree with Distinction in Chemistry from Indiana University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Faith brings nearly 20 years of diverse commercial experience in several therapeutic areas; most notably, ophthalmology, oncology, rare diseases, and diagnostics. She specializes in access and patient services strategy, including preparation of complex reimbursement assessments, coding applications and the development and implementation of reimbursement hub launches and service provider transitions.
Faith has supported all aspects of launches for several specialty and buy-and-bill medications, and has successfully held various home office, field or field management positions representing Fortune 100 companies such as Merck and Genentech.
Faith earned a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed graduate studies in synthetic organic chemistry at Duquesne University.
Paul is an accomplished life sciences executive with over 27 years of deep specialty pharmaceutical experience. This includes strategic leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson (Centocor), Merck KGaA (EMD Serono), Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, Inc. (now Sanofi-Aventis), Decision Resources Group (BioTrends), Cell Therapeutics Inc., Solstice Neurosciences and most recently Blue Fin Group.
Paul’s real world experience has included the development of strategies and tactics supporting multiple product launches and brand extensions. His expertise includes a wide range of therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, cardiovascular, rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology and infertility.

John is a veteran healthcare and life sciences marketing and business development strategist who has been generating results on behalf of high-profile global enterprises for over 20 years. His experience includes engagements ranging in size from start-up operations up to Fortune 50 companies in multiple therapeutic categories. John has significant expertise in successfully developing and managing business operations in high-growth environments.
Throughout his career, John has held leadership positions in general management, marketing and sales, business development, service center operations, digital communications, data services, and medical education with CVS Health, MedPoint Digital, HealthSTAR Communications and Epsilon.
John earned a BA degree in Management from Michigan State University and an MBA degree from DePaul University.
Paul has 30 years of life science and pharmacy benefit management experience with a rich background in market access, business development, account management, sales management, marketing and training. In his tenure at Merck, Paul was a key contributor in the launch of 22 products and accountable for the business to business relationships and profitability of the Merck contracts with a cross section of health plan customers.
Paul’s entrepreneurial mindset and deep experience with market access, contracting, and account management led him to Magellan Health where he successfully grew new business opportunities. His depth and breadth of expertise across all payer types, specialty pharmacy, contracting, pharmacy and medical benefit design and management provide our clients with unique insights into market entry strategies and tactics.
Paul earned a BA degree in Materials Management from Michigan State University where he graduated cum laude.
Jason has over 10 years of experience working with biopharmaceutical companies to design and implement market access solutions for specialty products, including, but not limited to; patient support programs, specialty and long-term care pharmacy, and Third Party Logistics (3PL) services. During his career at CVS Health, RxCrossroads and McKesson, Jason has led multiple teams supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturers for more than 70 branded product launches and service expansions. Jason’s areas of expertise include data aggregation and reporting, contracting, development of business rules, technical requirements gathering, process mapping, project management, vendor management, and development and implementation of technology driven solutions.
Most recently Jason served as Senior Director, Customer Engagement for RxCrossroads by McKesson, leading the Implementation, Contract Logistics, and Vendor Solutions teams across McKesson Life Sciences.
Jason earned a BA degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Indiana State University.
Derek has over 15 years of experience in market access leadership roles at major biopharma service firms. His experience includes the design and implementation of market access plans and services for over 40 specialty products, including oncology, immunology and multiple rare disease therapy areas. Derek has excelled in strategic, operational, and account management roles at Lash Group, where he was Vice President and Lead, Strategic Account Management. At Lash he and his team successfully supported patient services, specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, data aggregation, and data analysis for client brands.
Most recently Derek held the position of Senior Vice President, Pharma Services at EnvoyHealth, the pharma services division of Diplomat Inc., where he focused on traditional patient services, clinical trial distribution and the emerging digital therapeutics market.
Derek earned a BS degree in Physiology and a Masters in Health Administration degree from the University of South Carolina.
Rita has over 25 years of experience in specialty pharmacy reimbursement, including leadership positions in accounting, finance, and reimbursement HUBs. She has worked at healthcare companies such as Methodist/LeBonheur Health Systems, AccredoHealth, Inc. and United BioSource Corporation.
Rita supported the launch of more than 50 specialty products across a variety of therapeutic categories. She led the strategic design, launch, and daily operations of the Proherant Reimbursement HUB which merged with United BioSource. During hertenure at United BioSource she launched more than 20 patient and provider support programs, supporting reimbursement, patient assistance, reimbursement and clinical call centers, and site of care.
Rita earned a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Drew has over 20 years of well-rounded experience in adding value to organizations through managing global processes as well as consulting on strategy, operational excellence and change management initiatives. Drew has a black belt in Six-Sigma methodology and has performed projects in the healthcare, retail and professional services industries enhancing capabilities in market access, marketing, sales, finance, technology and construction business units.
With expertise in quality assurance, operational excellence and continuous improvement, Drew has improved patient engagement programs for over 10 biopharma products that included contact centers, patient access, provider reimbursement, copay, PAP and patient level data strategy functions.
Drew earned a BAE degree in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Risa is an accomplished senior Medical Affairs executive with over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Highlights of her career include key roles such as Medical Information Specialist at Centocor, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Biogen Idec, Medical Director and field leader of MSLs at UCB, and Chief Research Officer at DC2 Healthcare.
Risa has led and supported the Medical Affairs launches of several biologics and specialty products throughout her career. She has led or supported the planning and implementation of key medical strategies, including: collaborations with clinical research teams on study protocols, development of US and Global Medical and Clinical advisory boards, creation of abstracts and posters for scientific congresses, and management of relationships with KOLs representing multiple specialties to develop evidence-based studies and publications.
Risa earned a BS degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a PharmD degree from Creighton University.
Bill has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in leadership roles in multiple functional areas. During a 25 year career at Johnson and Johnson, Bill spent 14 years leading multiple operating companies' Trade Sales and Operations departments successfully launching dozens of biologic, specialty and small molecule pharmaceuticals across multiple therapeutic disease states. His experience included the oversight and management of the corporate channel strategy for over $25 billion in product sales.
Bill has experience working with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure successful commercialization of products. He also has extensive experience utilizing multiple distribution channels including: exclusive distribution models for orphan drugs and rare diseases; sophisticated Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Distribution models for products with complicated REMS programs; Specialty Distribution for office administered "buy-and-bill" products (large and small molecule products); and open distribution models for products with high retail channel sales.
Bill earned a BS degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
Rob has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, primarily focused in brand management and product commercialization in US and OUS geographies. He has worked at multiple manufacturers, including GlaxoSmithKline and Bioventus; and has a significant depth and breadth of consulting experience supporting clients across a majority of the top 30 pharmaceutical companies as well as many mid-size and startup organizations. His therapeutic area experience includes anti-infectives, antivirals, critical care, immunology, metabolic, and respiratory categories.
In addition to his experience in U.S. and global product commercialization, Rob also has significant technical expertise with roles in digital marketing and IT project management.

Laurie has extensive experience in leading and supporting tactical and strategic initiatives including 15 new product launches, KOL and key customer engagements, marketing research, meeting and event planning, sales administration and project management.

Kamil Sarna has over 12 years of finance and accounting experience at multiple Fortune 500 companies spanning pharmaceutical, retail, and banking industries. Kamil has enjoyed success in financial accounting, planning and investment analysis, project management, controller, and management roles.
During his career, Kamil supported Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions as an advisor in market access and patient support functions, including copay programs and third-party logistics. Recognized for financial leadership and excellence at LBrands, Kamil worked with its flagship companies Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works where he successfully transitioned its corporate travel card program to a leading servicing platform. Most recently, Kamil held the position of Controller in JPMorgan’s Wealth Management business where he oversaw global technology expenses for the firm.
